Job Summary:

Keystone College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment. The College seeks an experienced and successful enrollment management professional with a proven track record of success achieving student enrollment and revenue goals for a private college or university.

The College:  Founded in 1868, Keystone College is a leading, comprehensive, student-centered college educating students in the liberal arts and sciences tradition. An independent, co-educational college, Keystone provides distinctive undergraduate programs grounded in an engaging learning environment that fosters integrity, curiosity, and civility. Enrolling nearly 1,700 students, Keystone offers more than 40 degree options in liberal arts and sciences based programs in business, communications, education, fine arts, natural science, environmental resource management, geology, and social sciences. Keystone College students receive a comprehensive education with active and engaged learning opportunities that stimulate interests, improve skills, and ensure career readiness. The College offers 19 Division III intercollegiate sports programs for men and women. The student to faculty ratio is 11 to 1. Students enroll from 20 states and 5 foreign countries. 92% of the College receives financial aid.

The La Plume Community: Keystone College is nestled among shady trees on a 270-acre tract at the gateway to the Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. The campus is 15 miles northwest of Scranton, on U.S. Routes 6 and 11. Interstate Routes 380, 80, 81, 84, and 476 provide easy access to Keystone from all directions. Close to Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Binghamton, all the facilities of three modern cities are available to Keystone students, yet the College is surrounded by small towns and countryside and has the close and welcoming learning atmosphere of a rural campus. In addition, Philadelphia and New York are two hours away, and Boston and Washington, D. C. are within five hours drive time.

Northeastern Pennsylvania provides a stimulating and enjoyable environment for Keystone. The area boasts warm weather from May through September, brisk autumn days with brilliant foliage, and snowy winters pleasing to devotees of cold-weather sports. Opportunities for hiking, fishing, bicycling, swimming, and skiing are abundant.


The Vice President for Enrollment reports directly to the President of the College, sits on the President’s Cabinet, and staffs the Enrollment Management Committee of the Board of Trustees. As the College’s strategic and policy leader on all matters related to enrollments, the Vice President also plays a central role in all decisions concerning the future of the institution. The Vice President provides leadership and vision for the Office of Admissions, Financial Assistance and Planning Office, Weekend Programs, Dual Enrollments, and is involved with all matters concerning marketing and the College’s web site.


Qualifications & Experience: The successful candidate must have a proven track record in the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students and a comprehensive understanding and experience with financial aid strategies and leveraging. Candidates must have: proven success in developing and evaluating strategic enrollment plans that have been successful in shaping and enrolling each class to meet the mission of the College; knowledge of innovative and proven recruitment and enrollment practices including prospect management, communication and predictive technologies; excellent analytical skills and knowledge of integrated marketing, including web-based recruitment and enrollment practices.

The selected candidate will be a team-player, have a marketing mindset and will be able to work and fully collaborate with faculty, coaches, staff, current students, trustees, alumni, and the administration in developing marketing and recruitment strategies; have an eye for talent in hiring, developing, and evaluating staff; and seek the input from all those who are invested in the future success of the College. Having a working knowledge of EMS management products is highly desirable. Being an effective communicator and having a sense of humor are very helpful professional and personal characteristics.

The successful candidate must have an advanced degree and significant higher education experience, preferably coming to Keystone College from an enrollment management environment.
