Professional Tutor - Math (Part-Time) - Towanda Center

Job Summary:

A Professional Tutor will be responsible for tutoring students in approved, designated courses during arranged hours. 


Responsibilities:

The Professional Tutor will be responsible for scheduling and meeting with students on time at the designated and agreed upon location, tutoring students, reporting hours and submitting timesheets as required by the payroll timetable, submitting Tutoring Progress Reports after each tutoring session, contacting instructors for subjects you tutor and requesting additional information and resources in an effort to better assist the students and communicating with the person coordinating tutoring services routinely and whenever a question or concern arises.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics required, Master’s Degree in Mathematics preferred.  Math knowledge to include algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and statistics and research.  Ability to work with a diverse population of students. Experience in assisting students while working with math.  Location: TBA, but must be in an approved public area.
