Walter Pawelzik
Major: Business
Class: 2012
Walter Pawelzik loves studying business and he especially loves being a student at Keystone College.
“I chose Keystone because I could stay close to home to further my education. I like the idea of smaller class sizes since I attended a small local high school. Another factor that I find helpful is the versatility of course scheduling. I can adjust my selections to fit my work schedule by taking classes on campus, online, and during the summer. That’s a huge plus for students who need to support themselves while they are in school.”
Walter, a senior business major from Factoryville, Pa. appreciates the support he receives from the Keystone faculty. “I think the advice and support from my instructors is the most valuable thing I have taken from my time at Keystone. It’s impossible to put a number value on what my instructors have done to help me decide where I can take myself in the future. If you are willing to commit yourself to do the work, the instructors are committed to helping you.”
Walter is impressed that Keystone President Dr. Edward G. Boehm, Jr. takes a personal interest in all students. “He seems to be everywhere on campus and I think that’s great!
After graduation, Walter plans on obtaining an MBA and then pursuing his career in finance. “I would advise new students to find what you are passionate about and take a chance to expand your knowledge outside of your comfort zone.” Keystone has enabled Walter to do exactly that.
