Dr. Jerry Skinner

Professor of Biology

Dr. Jerry Skinner was recognized with a leading environmental award by the Northeast Pennsylvania Environmental Council. The 2010 Environmental Partner Award, given annually to a select group of recipients, was presented at the 20th Annual Evening for Northeast Pennsylvania’s Environment.

Dr. Skinner was honored for his outstanding achievements as a professor of biology at Keystone College, as an educator for the Keystone College Environmental Education Institute, and as the resident naturalist and volunteer steward at the Nature Conservancy’s Woodbourne Forest and Wildlife Sanctuary in Susquehanna County.

"The best that you can hope for out of life is to be paid to do a job that you'd do for free! That's why I've been at Keystone for over 23 years--they let me do what I love to do!"

Unique hobby: Tracing my family tree through the pastures of County Kerry, Ireland.
