Kenneth (Steve) Hardnett

Hometown: Plant City, FL

Major: Liberal Studies

Class: 2012

Steve Hardnett offers the following advice to future college students: “Live outside your bubble and experience new things.” That’s something that Steve, a junior from Plant City, Fla., tries to do as often as possible during his life at Keystone College.

“I like the fact that Keystone is a diverse community but everyone gets along really well. There are people from different backgrounds with different interests but Keystone is a place that encourages people to learn from each other and respect each other.”

A Liberal Studies major and a member of the men’s basketball team, Steve likes Keystone’s small-college setting and the personal attention he receives as a student. “I chose to attend Keystone because it has a great community, and the professors care about your education and make sure you are prepared for the real world.”

Steve has two more years before he faces the “real world.” For now, he’s trying to learn as much as possible, not only in his classes, but from the people he meets on campus every single day.
