Jairo Orozco

Hometown: Maybrook, New York

Major: Allied Health - Radiotherapy/Medical Imaging/Cardiac Perfusion Emphasis

Class: 2010

What do you like most about Keystone?
I’ve met a lot of interesting people on campus and I get the help and support that I need from faculty and students.

Who is your favorite member of the Keystone community and why?
Katrina Maurer and Debbie Dowling, because these two women have been supporting me since day one, when I started working with them in Health Services.  They are also the reason why I had such a good college experience and was given a great opportunity to go to Upstate Medical University next year.

What is your favorite class and why?
I love Anatomy and Physiology because the class taught me a lot of interesting material that I will most definitely be using in the future.

Give one thing that you were surprised to discover about Keystone?
That it is the oldest college in Northeast Pa.

Advice to future students:
Stay focused from day one and don’t let anybody or anything change you or your mind about the aspects of your future life. The quote I live by is “Life is a dark and lonely road, for which I don’t travel alone, this is why I cherish my friends.”

Favorite things to do:
Hang out with my friends, traveling, but mainly having a good time!

Future Goals:
I have been Accepted at Upstate Medical University for the Radiology Program where I will be finishing my degree and hope to later work in a children’s hospital.
