From Milk to Marriage - The LGBT Civil Rights Movement through Cleve JonesDate: September 17, 2013

Cleve Jones has been at the front lines of the global struggle against HIV for more than 30 years. One of the first gay community activists to recognize and respond to the threat of AIDS, Cleve founded the AIDS Memorial Quilt and helped found the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. A dynamic and inspiring speaker, Cleve served as a historical consultant to the 2008 film “MILK” and acted in the premiere of the play “8,” a condensed theatrical re-enactment of the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial’s closure. In 2012, Cleve was honored by President Barack Obama as a Champion of Change and shared his ideas to win the future with President Obama.
