Shane McGuire, CPA 07
Most memorable Keystone moment:
Keystone College Convocation 2008, when I received the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Outstanding Senior Award. I was not able to attend the ceremony that day due to a job interview; however, I was fortunate enough that day to not only receive the award but also get the job at a top 20 accounting firm.
What are you doing now?
I am the Senior Financial Analyst at the United Methodist Home.
Most interesting life experience:
My most interesting life experience would have to be my trip to Ireland in 2008. It was so interesting to see all of the history and where my family came from.
Family: Father - Joseph, Mother - Anne, Brother – Joseph
What you hope to be doing in the future?
I hope to continue to grow professionally within my organization. I also plan on starting a family and eventually enjoying retirement.
Message to the students of today:
Never Give Up! Set goals at the beginning of college. Map them out for what you want to accomplish 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years down the road. Hold yourself accountable to them, and you can achieve anything. If life throws a road block at you, don’t give up. Continue to work at, and you will be successful.
