La Plume - Keystone College will host its eighth annual Forensic Science Symposium on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 8:30 – 5 p.m. at the Theatre in Brooks.

The symposium will feature workshops and lectures on forensic science topics including fingerprints, footwear impressions, drug testing, death investigation, and evidence law.

Several law enforcement and forensic experts will present at the symposium including M. Dawn Watkins from the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. police department and King Brown from the West Palm Beach, Fla. police department. Keystone graduate Jimmy Ferrer, a forensic specialist with the Hampton, Va. police department will also address the symposium. Several Keystone students will demonstrate their expertise, including a presentation on 3-dimensional laser scanning and printing as it applies to forensic science.
