Regina PetersLa Plume – Keystone College President Dr. Edward G. Boehm, Jr. has announced that Regina Peters has joined the college as Senior Adviser to the President for Community Relations and Special Projects.

Reporting directly to the Dr. Boehm, Mrs. Peters will work closely with Keystone’s Institutional Advancement team, serving as a liaison between the college and key external constituencies to share information about the college’s plans and activities.   She will engage these constituencies, which include alumni, existing and potential donors, business leaders, elected officials, and community groups, to deepen their relationship with Keystone.

Mrs. Peters, a resident of Roaring Brook Twp., most recently served as chief of staff to Dr. Robert E. Wright, president and CEO of the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education. Prior to that position, she served the County of Lackawanna as Executive Director of Arts, Culture and Education, creating the Council on Education and Culture as a unique department in county government. Under her leadership, Lackawanna County received the 2006 County Leadership in the Arts Award from the National Association of Counties and Americans for the Arts.

The Association for Fundraising Professionals named Mrs. Peters as the Greater Pocono Northeast Chapter’s Outstanding Fund-Raising Executive in 1998 for her development efforts at the Scranton Cultural Center, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, and WVIA.  In addition to her professional work in the community, Mrs. Peters is well known for her volunteerism with many regional organizations.
