La Plume – Matt Cartwright, a candidate for the 17th Congressional District, will speak at Keystone College on Wednesday, September 19 at 6 p.m. in Evans Hall, Hibbard Campus Center.

Mr. Cartwright will address Keystone College students and members of the community. The meeting is open to the public and free of charge. The 17th Congressional District includes parts of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Carbon, Monroe and Northampton counties and all of Schuylkill County.

For the past 24 years, Mr. Cartwright has worked as an attorney for the law firm of Munley, Munley, & Cartwright. He is a member of the board of governors of the American Association for Justice and a member of the “Brain Trust” for the Small Business Advocate. He has performed volunteer work with several organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Rotary International and the Hope Legal Clinic, as well as the Juvenile Defense Pro Bono Volunteer Lawyer Project in Luzerne County.

A Moosic resident, he is a graduate of Hamilton College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
