The Keystone Compass Program is designed to better prepare students for upcoming college life! It is a multi-day (3-day, 2-night) group program designed to introduce students to Keystone College and surrounding areas. Each student will choose from a variety of group options (including digital media workshops, canoeing and hiking, high and low ropes adventures, creative writing and an intramural athletic group). Each group includes at least 15 or more incoming freshmen, several upper-class student leaders and another member of the Keystone family!
How to register: Any accepted incoming student should receive a New Student Orientation packet in the mail! Included there is a ‘Mapping Day & Compass Registration form’ enclosed. Simply complete the form and return in the provided envelope!
Group Placement: Compass Groups are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please read our group descriptions and indicate your three group preferences on your application. Students will be informed of their Compass group during Mapping Day. Please remember, you cannot attend the Compass Program until your completed health forms have been submitted to Keystone College.
Travel and arrival: Students are required to arrive on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 8:00 am. Resident students should plan to arrive and move-in on Wednesday, August 20th.
Athletes: Participation in fall sports will not conflict with your Compass Group.
