Mathematics minor

A mathematics minor consists of a minimum of 18 credits in that particular discipline and requires one 1000-level course and two 3000- and/or 4000-level courses. The remainder may be chosen from current discipline course offerings at any level and are determined by the student and academic advisor.

Mathematics Minor Course Options

One 1000-level course to be chosen from:

  • Trigonometry
  • College Mathematics
  • College Mathematics II
  • Precalculus

And

  • Calculus I

Choose four courses from the following. At least 2 must be 3000-level:

  • Mathematics Throughout History
  • Statistics
  • Statistics for the Social Sciences
  • Communications in Mathematics
  • Linear Algebra
  • Statistics and Research
  • Modern Geometry
  • Abstract Algebra
  • Techniques of Calculus II
  • Differential Equations
  • Number Theory
  • Probability
