Operation Rubythroat Hummingbird Expedition
Dr. Jerry Skinner, Professor of Biology
Each year during spring break, Dr. Jerry Skinner, Professor of Biology, leads a group of students and faculty to Belize for the Operation Rubythroat Hummingbird Expedition. This study abroad opportunity is for class credit in BIOL Special Topics.
The group spends nine days at the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary in Belize where Director Bill Hilton instructs the Keystone College participants on how hummingbirds are observed, captured, banded, and released.
