Real World Experience

In-class instruction is supplemented by intentional, strategic work in authentic classroom settings. Field experiences enhance content addressed in class, provide opportunities to connect one-on-one with faculty, introduce the community to Keystone’s emerging professional population, and illuminate regional employers where graduates may seek teaching positions. Students acquire leadership and management skills, agility in adapting to various work settings, and first-hand experiences in assessing the world of teaching.
Student Teaching and Field Experiences
Field Experiences are required each semester and are arranged by the Education Field Coordinator. All clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI, Health Appraisals) must be obtained by students on an annual basis prior to engaging in any field work.
Visit the Current Student Information web page for more detailed information.

Past Field Experiences

Field experiences have been completed at Abington Heights School District, Delaware Valley School District, Scranton School District, Towanda Area School District, Riverside School District, Mountain View School District, Old Forge School District,  and North Pocono School District, just to name a few.
