About the Program
Studio Art, BFA
The Bachelor of Fine Arts, or BFA, in Studio Art is a pre-professional degree program that prepares students for advanced study as professional fine artists. Because the BFA is an artist's professional degree, students graduating with a BFA or Bachelor of Fine Arts will complete a course load that's two-thirds visual arts classes.
Students may specialize in:
- Graphic design
- Painting & Drawing
- Print Media, including Book Arts
The BFA is especially recommended for students wishing to continue their visual arts education at the graduate level.
The Linder Gallery, located in Keystone's Miller Library, hosts four professional exhibitions each year, featuring the work of noted artists regionally, nationally, and internationally. Opportunities to meet these artists at receptions and lectures supplement classroom and studio instruction. Additionally, the Linder Gallery hosts two juried student exhibitions each year, showcasing the best work of fall and spring semesters.
