Early Childhood Education (Pre K-4) Special Education (Pre K-8)

The need for individuals who have a foundation in early childhood and special education has expanded over the last decade. The Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education / Special Education prepares professionals who value the unique characteristics of children with various ability differences.

This program will teach students to create individual, age, and culturally appropriate educational environments that support and nurture a child’s development. This ECE certification will prepare individuals to teach in a variety of Pre-K to fourth grade settings while learning to work cooperatively with parents and other professionals.

The special education certification will teach students how to plan instruction and demonstrate effective classroom adaptations with numerous opportunities to practice in authentic settings through observation, participation, and pre-student teaching experiences in classes Pre-K to eighth grade.
