Middle Level Education Social Studies (4-8)

The Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Level Education prepares professionals who desire to work in the education field with children in grades fourth through eighth. With the focus on Social Studies, the prospective teacher will learn a variety of content knowledge at different grade levels.

This teacher preparation program builds a solid foundation of child development for this age level, and through method courses students will develop lessons and demonstrate application during various field placements. Beginning early in this teacher preparation program, students will spend extensive time in various school settings.

Students holding a Middle Level Education degree will find opportunities to teach in public or private elementary and middle level schools.
