This degree prepares students for Pennsylvania certification to teach in the public schools and to work with young children (newborn-eight years) in a variety of settings including Child & Family Studies or Education.

"Promise of Success" - Graduates have found employment in the following places: Bradford County Daycare, Cuddle Time Day Care, Dunmore School District, Helping Hands Learning Center, Hour Place Daycare, Karing for Kids, Magic Years, Mountain View School District, NEIU #19, Precious Ones Daycare, The Learning Center, Wayne County Head Start and the YMCA.
Early childhood education graduates have also pursued additional education at East Stroudsburg University.
Internships and Field Experience
Past Student Teaching and Experiential Learning Opportunities - Field Experiences are required each semester and are arranged by the Field Coordinator for Education. All appropriate clearances must be obtained by the student on an annual basis prior to any field work. Keystone students in the Early Childhood Education program will have an opportunity to work in the college's on-site day care center and preschool.
Field experiences have been completed at Carbondale Head Start, A Country Place Preschool (Abington Heights School District), Cuddle Time Day Care, Damascus School, Hilltop Manor Preschool (Scranton Area School District), J. Andrew Morrow (Towanda Area School District), Little Biggar Preschool & Day Care (Riverside School District), Little People Daycare, Mountain View School District, Precious Ones Daycare, Treasure House, West Scranton Head Start, and recreation centers.
