Wildlife & Fisheries

"Promise of Success" - Students who successfully complete all requirements in the two year program of Environmental Studies, Forestry/Resource Management or Landscape Architecture degree programs will have guaranteed acceptance at State University of New York-Syracuse to obtain a bachelor's degree. Graduates have enrolled in other degree programs as well, including the University of Maine - Forestry, Wildlife Ecology.

Keystone College graduates have secure positions with the following companies/agencies: Bureau of State Parks, Ducks Unlimited, Earhtbox, Inc., Garden Path, Inc., New Jersey State Parks, PA American Water Company, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Pennsylvania Game Commission, Quantum Analytical & Environmental Laboratories, Sullivan County Conservation District, USDA Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Validation Technologies, Inc., YSM Landscape Architects, pollution abatement companies, and consultation firms.

Internships and Field Experience

A 240-hour internship is required for this degree.  Students will be placed with the assistance of their advisor and the Career Development Center.

Internship/Experiential Learning Opportunities - Bureau of Forestry, Claws "N" Paws, Ecoscientific Solutions, Endless Mountains Landscaping, Jerry's Sports Centers, Lackawanna County Conservation District, Lackawanna River Corridor Association, McLane Associates, Northeastern Environmental, Penn State Cooperative Extension, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), PA Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Fish Commission, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Schoner Environmental, Southern Tier Regional Planning & Development, Susquehanna County Soil Conservation District, US Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry, the University of Pennsylvania Arboretum, Wyoming County Conservation District, and Yellowstone National Park.
