Studio Art: Ceramics, BFA


The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Ceramics is a professional degree intended to prepare art students for specialized careers in the field of ceramics.  Students will exhibit a high level of understanding of clay forming processes through projects and assignments that challenge the student’s creativity while perfecting skills.  They will demonstrate critical analysis skills through group discussions, verbal and written reviews of ceramic work produced in and outside of class using a shared vocabulary to communicate aesthetic insights.

Admission to the Ceramics Program

Students seeking admission to this program must present a portfolio, be interviewed by a member of the Keystone College Division of Fine Arts, and have a high school art teacher’s recommendation. Transfer students must present a portfolio, be interviewed by a member of the Keystone College Division of Fine Arts and have obtained a 3.00 cumulative grade point average in studio art courses prior to formal admission to the program.
