Career Options



"Promise of Success" - All students in this program will have their portfolio reviewed by four area chefs/employers to ensure that they have everything they need before beginning this job interview process. Culinary Arts graduates not only receive an associate's degree, but also a certification in sanitation. Students will be exposed to classical French and American cooking techniques and will be given placement assistance to fulfill their 400 hours of field experience.

Graduates of the culinary program at Keystone College are employed at DaVinci's on the Lake (Lake Winola), Edelweiss Restaurant, Fountains Wedding and Conference Center, Inn at Nichols Village, Ocino Restaurant (Washington, NJ), Scranton Health Care Center, Sno Mountain (Scranton, PA), State Correctional Facility (Dallas, PA, Food Steward), and State Street Grill (Clarks Summit, PA).

Graduates from the culinary program have also pursued continuing education from the following institutions: Johnson and Wales, Keystone College, Leigh Valley College, Mont Clair State University (NJ), Paul Smith's College (NY).

Internships and Field Experience

Student enrolled in the Culinary Arts will acquire first-hand experience through the required internship. The internship experience, combined with the skills learned in the classroom, prepares students for the option of entering the workforce directly upon completion of an associate degree or continuing their education in pursuit of a bachelor's degree.

Capstone Experience

Annually students host "Night of Excellence" Dinner where students cook, serve, execute and plan a dinner for 130 plus guests.
