After graduating from KeystoneCollege in May 2010, with a bachelor’s degree in business, Erin Davis traveled to Ireland to present a research paper that she completed for her Undergraduate Research. Erin is one of five students nationwide to present her work during a forum sponsored by the Clute Institute for Academic Research in Dublin, June 2010.
Erin traveled to Ireland with KeystoneCollege human resources professor, Dr. Karen Yarrish to present the results of the project that describes how business leadership characteristics are viewed differently by males and females.
Traveling to Ireland was number one on Erin’s “bucket list”, so when the conference concluded they took time to tour Dublin and see some main attractions like The Dublin Castle, Dublin Goal,The Book of Kells, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Guinness Storehouse. There was also time for shopping and of course going to authentic pubs and sampling the great food of Ireland. Erin was also able to ride along with the Ring of Kerry and have a Guinness at a small-town pub.
“I never thought doing undergraduate work would do so much for my future. My paper was picked, out of thousands, to be presented and I was also able to fulfill one of my dreams of traveling to Dublin.”
