A Global Practicum in Africa

Open to all students interested in a study abroad experience to Africa with Keystone faculty. Preference is given to Public Health students, but all students with an interest in health may apply. PBHL 3012 is a course that will take place in Zambia at the Zimba Mission Hospital. The class will require 12 hours of instruction here at Keystone College and the rest of the course will be instructed in Zambia Africa. The class will meet a few times in the spring semester for planning, info sessions and a pre-departure orientation. Most of the class work and assignments take place in Zambia. All homework is due at the pre-departure class meetings. This includes a draft of your final report to be finished in the first week after returning.
The cost will be $3225.00
Includes: Airfare, housing, most meals, transportation to and from Keystone and to all venues in Zambia, excursions, majority of meals, entrance fees, classroom lecture space and technology requirements, academic visits and speakers, international health insurance.Application Deadline: Applications and deposit of $200 due May 2, 2014
