Art Portfolio Requirements
You will have the opportunity to present your art portfolio during a personal interview with a faculty member of the Division of Fine Arts. Your art portfolio must contain the following pieces:
- 10 to 15 pieces of your best work should be included. Actual work is preferred, but digital images either printed on or a disc may be submitted for large scale works that may be difficult to transport. The types of work should be mixed and indicative of your art experience to date. You are also permitted to weight the portfolio in a particular media.
- Portfolios should include evidence of observational drawing skills. Please include at least two examples of recent drawings executed from direct observation of the subject. Direct observation does not include drawings done from a photographic reference or copies of any kind.
- Finally, include some of your preparatory drawings or idea sketches.
Please be sure that each piece is clearly labeled with your name on the back. All works should be enclosed in a portfolio, or package, (which can simply be sturdy cardboard) that is clearly labeled with your name and complete address.
If you have any questions, contact the Division of Fine Arts at 570-945-8000, ext 8461.
