The Division of Education at Keystone College prepares future educators to think critically, act independently, and collaborate in ways that transform lives in our global society. Students are provided with opportunities and experiences that will prepare them for successful professional teaching careers. Faculty strive to assist students to become self-directed individuals who can creatively make informed decisions, communicate effectively and examine ethical issues which will inform instructional practices.





Faculty Mentor of the Month for December 2012

Jim Gilhooley

Dr. Jim Gilhooley,
Associate Professor, Division of Education

Dr. Jim Gilhooley is an Associate Professor in the Division of Education where he also serves as the Curriculum Coordinator for Middle Level Language Arts and the Middle Level Social Studies programs. 

In addition, he conducts praxis prep courses for Praxis I and II and has recently presented at conferences in Moscow, Russia and Dublin, Ireland on peer mediation.  Currently, Jim serves on the Pennsylvania Professional Standards and Practices Commission.
